International Research Network on Infants and Child Protection Systems

Inaugural meeting of the International Research Network

The inaugural meeting of the International Network on Infants, Toddlers and Child Protection sought to bring together academics and policymakers from several countries who had worked on issues concerning protection and removal of infants and provide a forum for discussion. The meeting was jointly sponsored by Chapin Hall Research Centre, University of Chicago; the Rees Centre, University of Oxford, and the Department of Social Policy and Intervention, University of Oxford. It was funded by the Department of Social Policy and Intervention and by a grant from the John Fell OUP Research Fund.1 There were 32 participants, representing 18 different countries.
